May 2007

Bought a new amp! Hand made 5 watt valve amp. Sounds fantastic! Have currently got it set up as a pre amp going into my Fender Blues Junior. Used my Strat and Tele with it, and it rocks!

April 2007

Went and saw the Sean Webster Band in Southport - a very good band, and highly recommended. Didn't go the Burnley Blues Festival

March 2007

Still playing the blues!

February 2007

I've been enjoying Scott Ainslie's Robert Johnson licks DVD. It's a great guide and makes the songs easier to learn.

January 2007

I've decided to spend more time playing my guitars, and continuing to learn slide guitar. Bob Brozman's excellent DVD series is highly recommended.

I've just signed up to the TDPRI.com forum - a great forum dedicated to Fender Telecasters, Stratocasters, as well as other guitars, amps and effects pedals.

I got a Muddy Waters DVD for Chistmas - fantastic! it features footage from the Newport Festival 1960, as well as the Copenhagen Festival in 1968 and 1977 Molde Festival. As well as the great guitar playing from Muddy and the various sidesmen, the harmonica playing from Paul Oscher is awesome! I've never considered myself a harmonica fan, but his playing is out of this world.

I've also been watching the Peter Green Splinter Group DVD from 2003. Peter's playing, tone and touch are as inspirational and soulful as ever. Another highly recommended DVD.
